The Kern 305 DirectMail System is a modular concept offering maximum flexibility to meet most direct mail demands.

The master in the system is the Plockmatic DMI 4000 Inserter, able to fill up to 12 mm of inserts and handles envelope sizes from C4 down to DL type. It also has a unique capability of handling both long edge and short edge flap envelopes.

The MF Mailfeeder is the feeder module. Again, the modular concept allows you to add The TF, a 6 bin tower feeder and the BF booklet feeder module.
This combination allows you to feed single sheet documents as well as a booklet of up to 8 mm thick into the envelopes.

Envelope feeder
The envelope feeder can accommodate and feed from the large sized envelopes for flats insertion regardless if they are long or short flap and down to DL sizes. For detailed information, see the systems envelope pecification. Holds up to 150 mm. Bottom feed ensures continuous loading. Extremely easy to set up the envelope separation – place the envelope under the separators, release the separators and lock them.

MF Mailfeeder
The MF is the basic unit in the feeder module. With the option to integrate up to 2 different modules there is always the possibility to build the system to match your mailing needs. Choose any combination of the TF Towerfeeder and the BF Bookletfeeder.

DMI Inserter
The system’s heart – the inserter with flexibility to handle most envelope sizes available. Whether they are long flap or short flap, large sized to accommodate flats or down to smaller DL type envelopes the DMI can do it. Inserting speed of up to 3600 per hour and built to handle volumes of up to 250 000 inserts monthly. With the intuitive touch screen user interface you control the complete system.

BST Beltstacker
A high capacity stacker capable of stacking all the various inserting jobs the system can process. Stacks up to 2500 envelopes. Can be positioned inline, left or right angled. Adjustable sensor for setting the envelope separation for easy unloading.

MFF Multifunction folder
The MFF is a robust multifunction folder able to do half-, C- and Z-folds of single or multi page documents. The MFF is equipped with an accumulator and alignment station before folding for accurate folding of multiplied sheets.

With the fully automated multifunction folder you can easily mix folded material with non folded material like thick booklets into the same envelope. The three fold pockets give you a versatile folder that accommodates the address carrier to be printed either face up or face down.
