Kern's "roll to roll" modules are capable of unwinding and rewinding rolls up to 54" in diameter - instead of the standard 51". The additional 3 inches in roll diameter provide room for up to 10,000 more sheets per roll.

This means that rolls do not have to be changed as frequently during printing and finishing processes - a fact which translates into increased productivity and reduced costs.

Besides the high-speed Kern 100 Unwinder and Kern 110 Rewinder for digital printers, Kern also makes roll unwinders for finishing machines such as high-performance inserting systems.

Our advanced controller, with easy-to-use color touch screen, stores and provides a wealth of information concerning the processed print data.

This data can be remotely accessed via a network connection called DFD Online© so that it can be used by ADF software or evaluated in a spreadsheet.

DFD Online capabilities are optional in Kern's Document Finishing on Demand modules for the digital printing industry.
