Kern, the specialist in high-performance inserting systems, ADF software solutions and logistics solutions, highlighted its professionalism in pre- and post-processing for digital print systems at this event; at the same time, the company officially unveiled two new cutting lines to the international market.
At the invitation of Kern SAS, the innovative producer of pre- and post-processing systems and solutions, guests from numerous European subsidiaries and representatives joined many partners from the digital print sector and end customers at the TakeOff Days in Niederhergheim, France, where they viewed the latest technological innovations.
There was no doubt about the focus of this two-day event: the new Kern 130/141 high-performance rotary cutter. This machine combines maximum flexibility with a new processing technology. The integrated intermediate stacker module reduces stopping times when the stack is moved out onto a delivery belt. An advanced development of the drop stacker provides stacking capacity of up to 2,500 sheets for this purpose.
Once again, the Kern 130 rotary cutter demonstrates that this company's products can easily combine efficient performance with affordability: the new cutting line is designed for high output volumes and it also offers an attractive cost-to-benefit ratio. And no compromises were made here on Kern's tried-and-tested technology – as can be seen from features such as the modular structure that ensures flexibility of use and fast changeovers.
The second cutting line was developed specifically to meet the requirements of the graphic market. This is an MK 33 high-performance guillotine cutter from Kern’s cooperation partner KICM. Designed to process paper grammages of 37 – 200 g/m²; the product features include a minimal space requirement, low-noise operation and processing speeds of up to 240 m/min. In addition to the MK 33 cutter, the tried-and-tested Kern 100 unwinder and a GUK FA 54/4AT54 automatic folder were on show at Niederhergheim.
As these lines were being presented, a new partnership was also announced: Kern is to market products and solutions from KICM, a company that specializes in the development and manufacture of mailroom technologies and products.
Rainer Rindfleisch, Kern's Head of International Marketing, comments: "This cooperation with KICM is a strategic move that paves the way for the future. Backed by Mr. Peter Kern's many years of experience, we shall continue the success story of the Kern brand."
