Kern has invested in quality and environmental protection throughout recent years. As we all know, quality has long been a Kern hallmark. Kern systems are reputed for their longevity and precision workmanship of the highest order. The underlying evidence: Kern has been ISO 9001:2008 certified for many years. So we can guarantee that our customers’ own production runs perfectly, too.
‘Green’ electricity has been powering Kern’s in-house PCs and production machinery for seven years and counting. Our energy partner is BKW FMB Energie AG, who supplies us with electricity generated by Swiss solar energy and hydroelectric power stations. It means that Kern is contributing to sound, resource-friendly treatment of the environment.
Kern signed up to the UN Global Compact in 2010 – renewed evidence of Kern’s adherence to the basic values of human rights and environmental policy today. It commits us to on-going proper handling of our personnel and environmental resources.
It pleases us to present this summary of our track record to date, as a means for you to persuade your own customers in turn about the quality and benefits of Kern products:
ISO 9001:2008
ISO 9001 sets out the requirements for a Quality Management (QM) system that an organisation needs to abide by in order to provide products and services that fulfil customer expectations as well as any official regulations. At the same time, the management system must be subject to a continual improvement process.
Green Power certificate 2011
The times are gone when electricity was simply electricity. Kern is not indifferent to how its electricity is generated, and its source. So we decided for a dependable alternative: electricity produced by ecologically sound means, in accordance with naturemade star guidelines.
UN Global Compact
The UN Global Compact is a voluntary initiative to promote social commitment by business in pursuing common and complementary objectives such as human rights, labour standards, environmental protection, and combating corruption.
